Land Not Bombs is the only solution to global warming and the catastrophic extinction rate that I know.
The human species synergy of social organization, literacy, the opposable thumb, and the instinct to procreate has proven disasterously successful.
We are the first species whose success threatens global biodiversity.

Most scientists today believe that in the 3.7 Billion years that life has been on this planet, there have been five mass extinctions. Humans are in the process of creating the Earth's sixth mass extinction. The problem is that when forests are converted to agriculture, the species that are not currently favored by the economic system, are left homeless. Today, we are in the middle of the biggest extinction since the dinosaurs died 65 million years ago. Unless current trends in habitat destruction and global warming are reversed, humans will be the first species to cause a mass extinction.

Environmentalists who are aware of this catastrophe, typically argue for draconian population controls. Such measures are unnecessaary and undesirable particularly when that policy will require draconian government. Humans can keep their numbers, but they must decrease their impact on terrestrial ecologies. Moving most industrial agriculture onto the ocean is both possible, and can be accomplished with relatively little environmental impact compared to the alternatives. This is the objective of Land Not Bombs; it is a real solution to global warming and the ongoing catastrophic extinction caused by industrial agriculture. It is time to let the forests grow back and move industrial agriculture onto the ocean. Most of the Ocean has the bioproductivity of a dry desert; even ocean on the Equator...that portion of the Earth's surface least used for biological life.
